After months of music production hiatus, Anno Kalu is back in full swing with his most cohesive work to date on In My Galaxy Record Company.

Fraught With Angst EP is an expressive release which not only provides solace through deep, dark and twisted turmoil, but takes you on a focused recondite trip of emotive and dreamy electronic house music, where darkness meets light, death finds life and hallow hearts feel love once more.

The opening title track is "filled with" an eclectic mixture of evocative old school mid-tempo grooves carefully designed around atmospheric and intimate breathy pads, a rumbling bassline, watery synth stabs, captivating sampled vocals, melodic arpeggios, hypnotic synthlines, lush keys and a rhythmic piano line simmering over scalpel sharp percussion to create an instant masterpiece with a tropical charm.

The follow up gem is one capable of provoking your emotions. The Rose That Grew is re-released to honor Rob Pearson who was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in October 2016 and has been in battle with the disease since. Having only worked on this co-op with Anno Kalu, he (Anno) felt beholden to celebrate Rob's life and influence with this 2018 remaster of a well-tailored gem. Combining organic beats with piercing percussion and claps, smokey vocals, playful melodies and rich synths pads atmospheres, this masterpiece grows into you from the first beat. We are so glad that the young lad took an already well-received track to a whole new level.

The closing track is a co-op with college friend, music producer and co-founder of In My Galaxy Record Company, Nik'k Laxer. The pair round-off this EP with a finishing blow, bursting with hypnotic soulful elements fused with live recorded playground and ATM machine ambience, meticulous lead synths and stabs, rhythmic bassline and sultry vocal harmonies that vibrates through the air and into your soul. Horizontal Ostgut is undoubtedly breathtaking in every way. Anno's creative production skills combined with Nikk's incredible strings patterns and synthlines are perfectly exhibited with this beautiful song.

All in all the whole EP is an avalanche of rare electronic sounds, left us convinced that Anno Kalu has sublime ability to take the listener to places only few musicians can.
